Accounting Aid Society Tax Assistance Program
The line for service forms at the "Old Children's Door" on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. and on Saturdays at 10 a.m. Assistance is provided on a first come, first served basis, depending on the number of AAS volunteers. Approximately 20 people will be served on Tuesdays and approximately 50 people will be served on Saturdays. This free tax preparation is available to individuals who received $25,000 or less and families that received $50,000 or less in income for the tax year. For tax assistance, bring driver’s license or state ID; Social Security numbers for yourself (and spouse and dependents if applicable); and income statements or forms such as W-2s, pension, Social Security, child support, unemployment, and miscellaneous income. To claim deductions or credits, bring all supporting documents. To have refunds deposited in your bank account, bring institution’s name, routing number, and your account number.
