Accounting Aid Society Tax Assistance Program
Be in line before 10:00 am at the "Old Children's Door," as the line for help frequently starts forming at 9:00 am, well before the Library opens. People in line receive a number when the Library opens and are served in that order. This free tax preparation is available Saturdays to individuals who received $25,000 or less and families that received $50,000 or less in income for the tax year. On Saturdays approximately 40 - 50 people will be helped on a first come, first served basis, depending on the number of AAS volunteers present. For tax assistance, bring driver's license or state ID; Social Security numbers for yourself (and spouse and dependents if applicable); and income statements or forms such as W-2s, pension, Social Security, child support, unemployment, and miscellaneous Income. To claim deductions or credits bring all supporting documents. To have refunds deposited in your bank account, bring institution's name, routing number, and your account number
