Join the Detroit Public Library and First Container as we host author Shaka Senghor at the new First Container located in the Eastern Market.  Shaka Senghor’s inspirational memoir about life in the streets and in prison titled Writing My Wrongs is a candid look at how one man transformed his life from street thug to inspiring youth mentor with a story of redemption.

The free event takes place on Saturday, July 27, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at First Container in Eastern Market.
The author shares his life story with youth all across the nation who may be headed down the same destructive path that led him to prison.  We invite parents, counselors, teachers or youth to attend this event to inspire and motivate change in the young adults of Detroit.
