Learn Italic Calligraphy With Ralph Rinaldi

The purpose of this class is to teach students the forms of Renaissance Italic in a fun, interactive classroom setting. Each class session will have different exercises using a felt tip pen. Classes will cover learning the basic 26 strokes of the lower and upper case alphabet, punctuation marks and numbers. Classes limited to 5 students Class duration 2 hours Each class will have designated assignments to be completed in class and home Materials Needed: Black Felt Tip Staedtler pens – 2 (3.5 & 2.0) Bienfang Calligraphy practice pad (9 1/2 x 12) #206 A Pink Pearl Eraser & #2 pencils Optional Supplies: A 3-ring binder for your daily and weekly work Plastic or Paper folio album for your best work Calligraphy materials can be purchased at Dick Blick Art Store either in Detroit, Dearborn or Royal Oak.
