Noontime Concerts

Attention Music Aficionados: Detroit summers are memorable for lots of wonderful outdoor concerts with beautiful music of all genres. As the seasons change, we invite you to come inside and enjoy some great music with us at the Skillman Library’s Noontime Concerts. Breakaway from that ordinary lunchtime routine and join us every third Wednesday of the month from October through April.

Carl Cafagna’s North Star Saxophone Quartet

Join us for this unique ensemble, featuring four different saxophones played by leading Detroit area musicians. Carl Cafagna will lead the quartet through selections by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Debussy, Scott Joplin, spirituals, folk songs, and even the Beatles! An entertaining, educational, lunch hour, especially for you.

Linda Johnson has a unique voice that you just have to hear for yourself. Her talent, ability and stage presence is what people have raved about throughout her career. Known as a remarkable solo artist, Johnson has expanded her reach as part of the group, “In Harmony” in which she shares a vital lead role.
