Book Club in a Bag

The Detroit Public Library now offers a quick and easy way to host a book discussion group: Book Club in a Bag.  Each kit contains multiple copies of a popular book, a list of discussion questions, and other support materials such as author biographies and published reviews, all packaged in a sturdy zipper bag for you to carry.

Book clubs must register for a special DPL card that will allow a "Book Club in a Bag" to be checked out.  The bags may be borrowed for eight weeks, giving the club ample time to distribute the books to its members, read it and hold a discussion.  The books should then be collected and returned to the library in a bag.

Stop by the reference desk when you visit the library or call (313) 481-1400 for more information.
